Le Mans Project Cars
BRM* vs. Porsche

Models by Stephen Miller and David Walker
Photos by Stephen Miller

This is the B.R.M. (*Backfire Racing Machines) SMR-3B by Stephen Miller. It was designed to comply with the 1999 Le Mans 24 Hour rules.

The SMR-3B is powered by a unique 5-litre Twin-6 V-12 engine.

This project car is essentially a meshing of the Heller Peugeot 905 and Tamiya Mercedes CLK kits, with many resin cast and scratch built modifications.

This unique Porsche is by David Walker. It is based on a Porsche 961, modified to roadster specification.

These photos were taken at a model contest in Calgary, Alberta last April.

Although the Porsche would probably be a GT2 car, I'm sure our photographer was checking out the competition very closely. These cars capture the spirit of GPMA perfectly: combining expert modeling skills with imagination and lots of fun! Thanks to Stephen Miller for contributing these photos.
