Monterey Historic Races
Here are a few shots of racing action from
Saturday, August 16 at Laguna Seca. The first race shown here
was for FIA GT cars from 1962-65. Also included is the start
of the race for 1966-1983 F1 and F2 cars. I wish I had sound
capability on this page, because the rumble of the GT cars was
wonderful. And the screams of the F1 cars made me wish Bernie
would bring his cars to Laguna just once in my lifetime. Look
for many shots from the paddock soon.

I think Heaven looks something like this
One more parade lap . . .
A nice looking Cobra Daytona grabs the early
lead
Corvettes at mid-pack (it was a Shelby weekend after
all)
Number 12 is getting closer
He got by!
Two more 427 Cobras
Interesting hardtop on Cobra no. 10
My favorite color
Those Halibrand wheels look nice
I think this guy won the "race"
The Corvettes sounded nice
rumbling down the hill
Not much bodywork modification
on this Vette
One of them "ferrin" cars - a Zagato bodied
Alfa
Here come the F1 cars
I'll be waiting for them in the paddock!
