Can-Am Build Contest

Guidelines for our Third Group Build

This is the official announcement of our next group build contest, which celebrates the spectacular Can-Am series from the late sixties and early seventies.

Any Can-Am eligible car from 1966 through 1974 is allowed. This also includes cars that competed in other series from around the world, such as the Interserie. As long as the car meets Group 7 rules it is eligible. Phantom cars are also eligible for this contest, as long as they meet these rules.

Here is a partial list of the cars that contested the Can-Am from 1966 through 1974:

Any scale from 1/43 through 1/8 is acceptable. 1/43 builders are encouraged to enter!

So that we may all properly judge your entry, please submit at least four clear, in-focus, well-lit images of your model. Also include as many details of the actual car that you can. Photos of the actual car would be great, but are not required.

You can submit your entry any time after September 1, 2003. See the
Contact page for where to send your entry. The deadline for entries is January 31, 2004. That gives all of you plenty of time to complete your model.

PRIZES: Fisher Model and Pattern have generously offered to award at least one of their Can-Am kits as a prize in this contest. So keep that in mind when planning your entry!
