1/24 Can-Am Porsches
Porsche 910, 908/2, 917K, and 917/30

Models, Text, and Photos by Rob Mepham

The Porsche 910 is an AHM kit made up to represent Roman Pechmann at Mosport '74. The kit upper body was cut up to correct length problems and glued back together.

Rear fender flares were built up and a lower pan was vacformed over a carved buck.

The Porsche 908/02 is a VRC resin kit made up to represent Harry Bytzek at Mosport '73. The kit is basically built straight from the box, although it is not an easy build... there are not many straight or square surfaces as it comes.

The Porsche 917K is a Fujimi kit made up to represent Brian Redman at Watkins Glen '70. The kit is again basically built out of box with a few pieces of Studio 27 photoetch and the Canam spoilers and mudflaps added.

The Porsche 917/30 is a Umi kit made up to represent Mark Donahue at Watkins Glen '73. The kit. . . . well, what can you say about it . . . build the Fisher kit instead!
