This year's NNL West Nationals featured several excellent examples of well-made replicas of competition cars. The presence of so many top-notch builds made it difficult to choose one award winner.

But after a brief discussion with the GPMA judging team, we concluded that this was the standout race car model of the event.

Like last year's winner, Hossain Salimi, Randy Navarrette is a model builder from Sacramento, California. His work includes professional builds for collectors in addition to his own projects.

In addition to Randy's trophy, he received a gift certificate from M&S Hobbies, and a GPMA T-Shirt. Many thanks to Mark Palacz from M&S Hobbies for his prize donation, and to Bill Bauer for obtaining the classic trophy. I hope to see you at next year's NNL West. - kjs
